Maybe cable isn't as dead as you think? Maybe you can't get by on apps alone - although Tom has joined the ranks of the un-cabled! Besides, what are you watching on the big networks, as no new hits were birthed this year. Tom and Jeff hash it out, along with the supposed death of the movie for grown-ups. Plus a ton more, so have a listen!

The TradesCast for Week 18 - May 1, 2016
Prince is big business, and who knows what that business will be, seeing as how he had no will. Prince is getting a salute on Facebook, and some of that via live video, which Facebook is doing quite a lot these days. How's it going? Jeff and Tom chat it out. The summer movie season is finally here. Who will win the box office race? Have a listen and see if you agree!

The TradesCast for Week 14 - April 3, 2016
The movie industry is hardly taking advantage of a can't miss genre. DISH Network is trying to make a nearly obsolete media company relevant again. Sitcoms of today all have one starting point, and it's one worth honoring this week. If none of that makes sense, then you NEED this cast. So click and learn and love!

The TradesCast for Week 12 - March 20, 2016
Is there a big audience for any entertainment any more, at least for anything not named The Super Bowl? Tom and Jeff talk about the Oscars, big movies, TV shows, and more that don't draw the way they used to - and what Hollywood is doing to counter that. Plus, we get into Hulk Hogan's business, so that alone is worth a click!

The TradesCast for Week 9 - February 28, 2016
There was a lot of diversity with the awards this year for movies ... of course, we're talking about the Spirit Awards, which, had the Oscars looked the same would not have been called out for systemic racism. Funny, though, both groups picked the same best film. Tom and Jeff discuss the relevance of the Oscars, and wonder if it will ever change. Also, Louis CK is at it again, showing that you don't need corporate backing and a network to release content and to make money. But if you've got the money, Netflix is proving that they are this close to making the networks museum pieces. All that and more so cure the Oscars hangover with a bit of sober chat!

The TradesCast for Week 6 - February 7, 2016
Maybe the Super Bowl wasn't the most super, but it certainly will be the top rated show of the year, and it was a place to see all the big commercials. Did anyone spend the $5 million per 30 seconds wisely? Speaking of live TV, Grease came and conquered in many ways. Will the other networks jump into the live musical game? Turning to news, The New York Times is getting into a "new way" of covering news--at least it's new to them. All that and more, so click and enjoy!
